MINOT, N.D. - A water line break has caused minor flooding at part of the Roosevelt Park Zoo, prompting zoo officials to keep a few animals inside during cleanup and repairs.
A spokesperson for the zoo says that the line break forced them to close off the zoo’s east loop.
The giraffes, zebras, and bongos will remain inside during cleanup of minor flooding, though other animals can go outside.
The source of the line break is unclear, though the city will take a look at it Monday. In the meantime, water is being pumped into the river.
They stress that the zoo will remain open normal hours, including the children’s zoo.
