Landowners interested in the proposed Aurora Wind Farm by Tradewind Energy, had two opportunities last week to meet with company officials.
Dave Iadarola, Development Manager of Tradewind Energy, states, “In North Dakota we have to have everything leased where we would put facilities and then we would also have to set back from non-participating landowners.”
Open house gatherings in Ray on Monday and Tuesday last week came ahead of a planned appearance tomorrow (Thursday, June 21) at the Williams County Planning and Zoning meeting. The company will also make a presentation at the Mountrail County Planning and Zoning meeting on June 25.
Based in Lenexa, Kan., Tradewind Energy was founded in 2003 where it began as a small startup company, eventually expanding to encompass wind and solar projects across the United States.
